Effective January 1, 2016 as a boater (driver or occupant) at Lake Havasu you are are required at all times to wear the mandatory “orange” life jacket unless you have submitted and been approved for a Lake Havasu Life Jacket License. Getting a license is fast and easy…Unless you are a fool!
All vessels except sailboards and certain racing shells or rowing skulls must have at least one wearable Type I, II, III or V life jacket that is U.S. Coast Guard (USCG)-approved and of the proper size for each person on board and any party onboard a vessel underway on Lake Havasu must either have a current and valid life jacket license or the occupant must wear the mandatory life jacket, there are no exceptions to this.
All life jackets must be in good and serviceable condition and must be readily accessible.
Are you 12 years of age or older? Then you must wear a USCG approved Type I, II, III life jacket while underway on any vessel unless you have your life jacket license. The life jacket license must be submitted prior to your first trip to the lake, or no later than within 12 hours of your first day on the lake. If you are found not wearing the mandatory life vest and do not have a valid life jacket license then you will be ticketed and the boat is subject to impound.
Important Information: Havasulifejacket.com is not affiliated with, part of, or endorsed by any local, city, county, or governmental agency. Did you really submit an application? Do you not see the humor in the fact that someone told you to come to this site and probably made you wear a “madatory” orange life vest when everyone else is out having fun without them? Come on you have to be brighter than that…. Thanks for the laugh but just be aware none of your information was saved or sent anywhere…. the link immediately deletes it and reminds all of us to laugh when people fall for pranks.
